Strasbourg, the heart of Europe...
As an international capital and a mainstay of the European Union, Strasbourg is the hometown of a number of major European institutions including the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights....
Strasbourg is also home to a major political and diplomatic presence. The town boasts no less than 46 embassies, 30 consulates and around a hundred international NGOs. Along with New York and Geneva it shares the privilege of hosting a major international organisation without being a national capital.
